Alan W. Robie


Alan Wayne Robie, 68, passed away on July 7, 2021.

Born in Lancaster, NH, he was the son of A. Mary (Grout) Robie, currently of Springfield & the late Gordon G. Robie.

Alan spent many years in New York City living his life with freedom; he wasn’t fond of rules. He worked as an independent vendor, loved the casinos and racetracks.He loved the excitement of the city that never sleepsand was the best tour guide for his sister Anne, niece Andrea and great-niece Talia on their many visits.

In February 2020, he made the move back home to live with his sister Anne and family. He loved their family vacations to Hampton Beach, and enjoyed going toTalia’s National dance competitions. He loved being home, surrounded by family, & friends, especially in the summertime with the pool.

Alan will be sadly missed by his mother, Mary, brother,Michael Robie (Lisa), sisters, Sherry Levine (Richard), Anne Scibelli (Thomas), Bethany Worrall (Craig), Paula Couture (Brien), and many nieces & nephews.

Along with his father, he was predeceased by his nephew Nicholas Scibelli on July 7, 2010.

Family and friends are invited to visit Thursday, July 15, 4-5 p.m., with a 5 p.m. service at Tazzini Funeral Home, 22 Locust Street in Springfield. Alan’s burial will be at the convenience of his family.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Shriners Hospital, 516 Carew St., Springfield, MA01104.
