Antoinette A. Maggi


Antoinette Ann (Tranghese) Maggi, 86, passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 23, 2021. After a brief illness.

Born in Springfield, she was the daughter of the late Salvatore & Carmella (Rosati) Tranghese.

Antoinette was a loving and caring wife, mother, noni, sister, aunt and friend.

Ann loved spending time in the kitchen creating delicious meals for her family. She also loved to travel with her husband, shopping adventures and meals with her family and life-long friends.

Sadly, Antoinette was also predeceased by her beloved husband of 48 years, Robert D. Maggi.

She is survived by her sons, Robert & wife Theresa of Monson, and Joseph & wife Jocelyn of Belchertown, grandchildren, Robert Maggi & fiancée Taylor Allen, Melanie Ciesluk & husband Clark, and Alyssa Maggi, sister, Anne-Marie Rinaldi & husband Ralph of E. Longmeadow, brother-in-law, Raymond Maggi and wife Joan of Wilbraham, several nieces & nephews and cherished granddog, Blue.

Family and friends are invited to Antoinette’s Liturgy of Christian Burial, Thursday, January 6, 10 a.m., at Sacred Heart Church, 395 Chestnut Street in Springfield; masks are required. Burial will follow at St. Michael’s Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, which was near and dear to Ann, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.

Ann, as I knew her, was a wonderful neighbor. In the one year that I knew her I quickly learned how important and loved her family was to her. Ann was very giving. I miss our visits and her many stories. Ann had become a good friend and I miss her.
