Antoniatta Cerrato


Antoniatta (Bocchino) Cerrato, 96, passed away peacefully at her home on April 24, 2023, surrounded by family.

Antoniatta was born on March 27, 1927, in Bracigliano, Italy, the oldest child of Alfonso and Sabata (Santoro) Bocchino.

Antoniatta is predeceased by her husband, Nunziante Cerrato, her grandchild, Roberto Bruno, her two sisters and two brothers.

She is survived by her three sisters, Rosa, Sabatina, and Tuccella, beloved daughters, Severina Bruno of Feeding Hills, and Nancy Williams (Thomas) of East Longmeadow, grandchildren, Adolfo Bruno, Lisa Bruno Santaniello (Ferdinando), Frank Bruno, Jr., Erica Williams, Bianca Foster, and Marisa Williams, and great-grandchildren, Kylee Vopke, Giovanni Bruno, Siana Bruno, Alex Bruno, Isabella Bruno, Sean Bruno, and Ashley Bruno.

Antoniatta, along with Nunziante, were well known by all at Lido’s Restaurant where they both worked for over 50 years combined. Antoniatta loved gardening, spending time with her family, and going to church. She will be missed and forever in our hearts.

Family and friends are invited to Tazzini Funeral Home, 22 Locust Street in Springfield on Friday, April 28, at 8:30 a.m., proceeding to Antoniatta’s 10:00 a.m.Liturgy of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church. Burial will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
