Clodovaldo Concepcion


Clodovaldo Concepcion, 90, passed away peacefully onJanuary 7, 2023, surrounded by his loving family. Born in San Luis, Cuba, he was the son of the late Bartolo & Eugenia (Gonzalez) Concepcion.

Clodo was a very simple man, who fought tirelessly for what he believed in, and for those in need, often putting their needs before his. He loved his family, friends, political associates, and the United States. He served in the U.S. Air Force, worked at Package Machinery, where he also served as president of the IUE Local 220, culminating his life’s accomplishments as a Springfield Ward 5 City Councilor. He will be missed...  

Clodovaldo is survived by his adoring wife, Teresa D. Bye-Concepcion, beloved daughters, Maria Concepcion of NC and Ana Concepcion-Morse & husband Kenneth of Springfield, grandchildren, Tristan & Gaige Morse, and Jasara Hogan, and many dear family members and friends in both the United States & Cuba.

Although Clodovaldo’s funeral services, with full military honors at the MA Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery were private, family and friends are cordially invited to a Memorial Reception, Thursday, January 12, from 1-5 p.m. at the Clodo Concepcion Community Center at Greenleaf Park, 1187 ½ Parker Street in Springfield.
