Eugene “Gene” George Potter, 82, passed away on March 19, 2020. Born and raised in Springfield, then settling in Indian Orchard, he was the son of the late John & Elizabeth (Collins) Potter, Sr.
Gene worked for many years as a press man for General Offset, then for Milton Bradley. Upon retirement, Gene owned and operated the Cady St. Cafe in Ludlow.
He loved watching sports but especially his NY Giants. He also loved his family, family get togethers, and his time spent with his grandson Jordan with whom he lived.
Gene will be dearly missed by, the love of his life, his wife of 62 years, Barbara (Loguidice), his daughters, Lynn Lovell & partner Bill Sonnemann of SC, Jeanne Morgan of Springfield, Liz & husband James Zielinski of Monson, Laurie Potter of Ludlow, his sister, Patricia Metcalf of FL, his grandchildren, Kristofer, Kelli, Jennifer, Jessica, Carly, Jamie, Michael, Joseph, Heather, Jordan, his 16 great-grandchildren, and his niece Audrie Dyjak.
Sadly, Gene was predeceased by his sister Sandra Sabadosa, and brother John Potter, Jr.
Private funeral services were held, with burial in Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
