Frederick C. Santinello, 67, passed away, after a long illness, on April 12, 2020 at Baystate Medical Center.
He was born on January 15, 1953 in Springfield, to the late Fred and Mary (Manarite) Santinello.
He retired in 2001 from the State of Connecticut Department of Corrections. After retiring, he enjoyed vacationing in Fort Meyers, FL.
A loving husband, father and grandfather, Frederick is survived by his wife, Doreen A. Race; a son Jeffery Race of Springfield; a daughter Laurie (Mark) Cole of New Hartford, NY; and his granddaughters, Mackenzie, Jordyn and Nora Cole.
Known better as Fred, he was a lifelong fan of the NY Yankees and NY Giants and enjoyed watching games with his many friends who were Red Sox fans. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
