
John J. Lampro, Sr., 74, passed away peacefully on February 1, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.
Born in Springfield, he was the son of the late Albert & Florence (Brunelle) Lampro.
John was predeceased by his wife Maryann and his daughter Lisa. He leaves to cherish his memory his son Mark Lampro and his wife Chastity, his son John Lampro and his wife Jennifer, his 9 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
John was a mechanic for over 50 years and as his son Mark would say...the best mechanic I know. John’s passions were his cars, car shows and spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. John was an avid karaoke singer and loved to entertain his many friends. John cherished his friends and would refer to them as his second family.
John’s wake will be Wednesday, February 5th, from 5-7 p.m. at Tazzini Funeral Home, 22 Locust Street in Springfield. His funeral will begin Thursday, 9 a.m. at the Funeral Home with a Prayer Service at 9:30 a.m., proceeding to his burial at Hillcrest Park Cemetery.
