Joseph Nicholas Carabetta, 98, was taken on December 2, 2023.
Born in Springfield, he was the son of the late Pasquale& Jennie (Esposito) Carabetta.
Joseph was a carpenter by trade. He was known for his strong work ethic, his garden, his cooking, and his giving nature. He loved making big batches of macaroni and meatballs or Italian salad and sharing it with friends and family.
Joseph will be dearly missed by his daughter, Jennifer Pelletier & husband Nicholas of Wilbraham, sons, Jeffrey Carabetta & wife Addie of East Longmeadow, and Gary Carabetta of FL, 7 grandchildren, and many nieces & nephews.
Joseph was predeceased by his wife, Nancy (McNally) Carabetta, son, Brian Carabetta, brothers, Rocco & Fredrick Carabetta, and sisters, Yolanda Stellato, Mafalda Lyman, Amelia Hartford, Pasqualina Fopiano & Mary McDonald.
Family and friends are welcome to visit Friday, December 8, 9-10 a.m. at Tazzini Funeral Home located at 22 Locust Street in Springfield, followed by a graveside committal service for both Joseph and his late wife, Nancy, at Gate of Heaven Cemetery located at 421 Tinkham Road in Springfield.
Joseph's family would like to express their appreciation for the love and support already shown during this difficult time.
