Kathleen Marie (Cochran) DeCaro, 68, passed away, October 17, 2020, surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Holyoke, she was the daughter of the late Delmar G. & Phyllis (Kelly) Cochran.
Kathy met Ulderico DeCaro and they were married in 1971, spending 44 years together, before his death in 2015.
She was a loving mother, enjoyed spending time with her family, and cherished precious moments with her grandchildren. She enjoyed watching the Healy's perform with family & friends, and was known for her devotion to Mt. Carmel Church, through her many activities & contributions. She also worked at Smith & Wesson for many years.
Kathy will be dearly missed by her sons, Anthony, Giovanni “John" & wife Linda, Robert & wife Amber, sister, Donna St. John, brother, Stephen Cochran & wife Mary, sister, Cheryl Hurley & husband Greg, sister-in-law, Tina Giordano & husband John, brother-in-law Carmine DeCaro, beloved grandchildren, Danielle, Aynslie, Tony, Emily, & Jordan, and many beloved nieces, nephews & cousins.
She was also predeceased by her brother-in-law Kenneth St. John, sister-in-law Carmella DeCaro, and brother-in-law Salvatore DeCaro.
Family and friends are invited to visit Thursday, October 22, 4-6 p.m. at Tazzini Funeral Home, 22 Locust Street in Springfield. Kathy’s funeral service will begin Friday, 9 a.m. at Tazzini Funeral Home, proceeding to her 10 a.m. Liturgy of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Springfield. Burial will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Masks and social distancing required.
