Mary C. (Reale) Ruscio, 98, passed away peacefully on August 28, 2019. She resided, the last two years in Southwick with her son Michael. Born in Gerace, Reggio Calabria, Italy, May 26,1921, she was the daughter of the late Carmelo & Caterina (Campiti) Reale. Mary came to America in 1937 and married the love of her life, the late Joseph Ruscio Jr., in 1945. Together they raised their three sons. Mary worked for many years for the Springfield School Department as an Assistant Cook at Commerce High School. Mary will be dearly missed by her sons Joseph III & wife Barbara of Greenfield, John & wife Leesa of SC, and Michael of Southwick. She will also be missed by the other loves of her life, her grandchildren Christian, Nicole, Joseph IV, Carla, Jessica and her seven beautiful great-grandchildren. Sadly, along with her husband, Mary was pre-deceased by her brothers John and Pasquale Reale. Friends and family are invited to meet on Saturday, August 31, at 10 AM, at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 123 William St., in Springfield, for Mary’s Liturgy of Christian Burial. Her interment will follow in St. Michael’s Cemetery.
