Michael Siano



Michael Siano, 80, passed away peacefully on January 2, 2024. Born on November 16, 1943 in Springfield, he was the son of the late Louis P. & Eunice R. (Vitarelli) Siano.


Michael was a son, brother, uncle, and friend who left an indelible mark on the hearts of those who knew him. He was a passionate sports fan, particularly of baseball. He had an encyclopedic knowledge of sports, demonstrating an impressive ability to recall statistics, historical moments, and player details with remarkable precision. His profound intellect extended beyond sports as his sharp mind and strong memory served him well in all aspects of life.


Michael will be missed dearly by his four sisters; Grace Siano, Loretta Arillotta, Suzanne Kelly, and Carol Whalen & husband Michael. He will also remain in spirit with his beloved nieces and nephews; Anthony, Angela, and Maria Arillotta; Cara O'Connor & husband Tommy; Christopher, Michaela, Jeromie & wife April Whalen. Michael is also survived by many great-nieces and nephews, including Anthony, Michael, Maia, Grace, Sofia, Ireland, Kennedy, and Kayla & husband Kevin.

In addition to his parents, Michael was predeceased by two brothers-in-law, Anthony Arillotta and Maurice Kelly.


Family and friends are welcome to Michael's 11 a.m. Committal Service on Monday, January 8th, meeting at St. Michael's Cemetery in Springfield.


Memorial contributions may be made to Shriners Children's Hospital in Springfield.

Michael Siano will be forever missed by me his friend Jobie L. Carter. He taught me a lot about Sports and Life in General .He was always there if I needed to talk and or anything. May God Bless his Family in their loss. They lost a great family member but God claimed his angel back.
