Michelina (DeDomenico) Minniti, 98, died peacefully, December 7, 2021, in Gerace, Reggio Calabria where she was born and raised. She was the daughter of the late, Antonio & Concetta (Pedulla) DeDomenico.
Michelina came to the United States in 1958 and traveled home regularly, building lifetime friendships and close relationships with family in both countries.
She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Vincenzo, and is survived by her adoring children, Salvatore & wife Rita, and Paula Polimeni & husband Giuseppe, grandchildren, Lucrezia Illingsworth & husband Todd, Michelle Polimeni, Nicola Polimeni & wife Rachel, Vincenzo Minniti & wife Sandra, Anthony Minniti & partner Lindsey, and Sal Michael Minniti, 6 great-grandchildren, 3 step-grandchildren, and many nieces & nephews in Rome & England.
A heartfelt thank you goes to Villa Vittoria Nursing Home in Gerace for the love they showed in her daily care.
Family and friends are invited to Michelina's Memorial Mass, Monday, June 27, 6:30 p.m. at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Springfield. Masks are requested.
