Poldina A. Buendo


Poldina Paula (Artioli) Buendo, 94, passed away peacefully on June 30, 2019. Paula was born December 17, 1924 in Springfield and lived there most of her life. Daughter of the late Ettore and Argia

(Casoni) Artioli, she graduated from Commerce High School in 1942. During her working career, she was employed by Mass Mutual Life Insurance Company, Hampden Engineering Inc., Springfield Eye Associates and Alice A. Angelo, M.D. Paula enjoyed skiing, dancing and traveling and instilled a love of

reading and education in her children. However, her greatest passion was her family and the wonderful times spent with them. She is survived by two daughters, Susan K. Wilson of West Springfield, and

JoAnne Muzzulin husband Edward of Hertford, NC; four grandchildren, Andrew Murano (Maureen), Aurora, CO; Amy Croteau, Naugatuck, CT; Keith Wilson (Kathy), Valley Glen, CA; and Stephanie Wilson, Bangor, Maine as well as three great-grandchildren, Shellby Warner and David & Mark Murano. She also leaves two loving sisters, Corina A. Dalessio of E. Longmeadow, Lorraine A. Serra of Springfield, and a dear sister-in-law Eleanor Artioli of Agawam, as well as many caring nieces & nephews. She was predeceased by her beloved son, Stephen J. Buendo and brother, Henry Artioli. The family wishes to express their gratitude to friends and the staff at Mt. St. Vincent Care Center, Holyoke for their loving care over the past 9 years. A visiting hour will be Saturday, July 6, 9:30 at Tazzini Funeral Home, 22 Locust St., Springfield, followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial, 11 in Mt. Carmel Church, 123 William St., Springfield, with her burial at St. Michael’s Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or Bright Focus Foundation/Macular Degeneration Research.
