Ronald P. Menard, Jr.


Ronald Paul Menard, Jr., 68, passed away peacefully in his home on Wednesday, March 22, 2023, after a long battle with cancer.

Born on August 5, 1954, in Springfield, where he was also raised, he was the son of the late, Ronald P. and Lucy M. (Cannamela) Menard, Sr.

Ronald is survived by his wife, Lissa (Gibeault) Menard, daughters, Rachel Eaton & husband Luke, and Natalie Jensen & husband Cliff, 7 grandchildren, brother, Paul Menard & wife Deborah, brother-in-law, John Pelloso, sister-in-law, Paula Tonelli & husband Rick, stepchildren, Bridget and Evan, many cousins, nephews, nieces, great-nephews & nieces, and best friend & cousin, Vinny Calvanese.

Ron was also predeceased by his sister, Tamara A. Pelloso.

He was a member of Cathedral High School’s class of 1972. He loved cooking, which was a common factor throughout his career; whether it was cooking and preparing food at Gus & Paul’s, Antonio’s, Suffield Country Club and most recently the Storrowton Tavern, or working in sales for Nestle Foods. Ron’s hobbies included playing cards, collecting sports cards, and participating in sports such as bowling, baseball and basketball.

Family and friends are invited to visit, Thursday, March 30, 2023, from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Tazzini Funeral Home, 22 Locust Street in Springfield. Ronald’s funeral services will be private.

Memorial Contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
