Dominic Mazza, 65, entered into eternal rest on April 14, 2024. The son of the late James and Margaret (Long) Mazza, Dominic grew up in the South End of Springfield, attending Springfield Technical High School where he made many lifelong friendships.
He married Marie (Welch) Mazza in 1981, and they shared many happy years until she passed in 2015.
Dominic worked for many years as a Maintenance Supervisor at West Springfield High School, where he took great pride in caring for the building and the students; he retired in 2020.
Those who knew Dominic best would describe him as a loyal "old-school" Italian. To Dominic, family was his biggest priority and his greatest joy.
He leaves behind his loving son, Vincent Mazza of West Springfield, brother, David Mazza of Springfield, extended family, and many friends.
Along with his wife and parents, he was predeceased by his sister, Donna (Mazza) Richburg.
Dominic's family and friends take great comfort that he is now reunited in Heaven with his loving wife Marie, who he has missed tremendously for all of these years.
Family & friends are invited to Dominic’s 10 a.m. Liturgy of Christian Burial on Monday, April 29th at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 123 William Street in Springfield. His burial will be private.
Tazzini Funeral Home was entrusted with Dominic’s care.
