Robert Leslie Greene, Jr., 73, passed away on January 7, 2021, surrounded by his loving family.
Born in Springfield, he was the son of the late, Robert L. & Matilda (Montefusco) Greene, Sr.
Bob’s working life was spent in Sales along with several years bartending. He was an avid golfer, loved to fish, and go to the Casino. He loved sports, in person and on television, most recently The Game Show Network. He loved to travel including one of his favorite places, Aruba.
Bob was a family man loved by all; we called him, "the Mayor." He always had a smile on his face and a song in his heart. His sense of humor would light up the room.
Robert will be dearly missed by his beloved life partner, Cecile Richard, daughter Michelle Moccio and her fiancé Alan Hoyt, loved like sons, Matthew Richard & wife Catherine, and Andrew Richard & wife Jessica, grandchildren, Christopher and Michael Moccio; Nathan, Julianne, Hannah, Zoe & Zane Richard; and nephews Christopher, Timothy & Matthew Macri.
He was predeceased by his brother Paul Macri & wife Geraldine.
Family and friends are invited to Robert’s Liturgy of Christian Burial, Wednesday, January 13, 10:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Springfield. Burial will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Masks and social distancing required at both.
