Mildred D. Tricinella


Mildred Deloras Tricinella, 94, passed away peacefully on March 15, 2020. Born in West Springfield, May 8, 1925, she was the daughter of Nicholas & Lucy (Caporale) Tricinella.

Mildred attended West Springfield schools, culminating at West Springfield High School. She was employed by the U.S. Navy in Springfield, later being transferred to California and Hawaii. She then joined the U.S. State Department and for many years worked and lived abroad in Iran, Thailand, Ecuador, and Chile. Upon retirement, Mildred returned to Agawam and continued to enjoy travel locally and abroad.

She enjoyed volunteering at Storrowton Village and at a host of local charities.

Mildred leaves her nephews, Andrew, Kenneth & Mario Tricinella, and nieces, Ann Marie, Tina, Liz & Cynthia Tricinella.

She was preceded in death by her four brothers, Nicholas, Anthony, Andrew & Frederick, nephew, Bruce, and niece Carol Billings.

A memorial mass will be celebrated, Wednesday, July 8, 4 p.m. at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Springfield. Please adhere to Diocesan directives requiring masks & social distancing.

Memorial contributions may be made to one of Mildred’s favorite charities: Agawam Senior Center, Dante Club of W. Springfield, Feline Friends of Feeding Hills, St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital or Exposition Alumni Scholarship Fund.
